2 Operator 2.4 Backhoe Loader Objectives After the completion of this course the trainees will independently be able to Understand and explain the principle and techniques of operating a Back hoe Loader Drive the backhoe loader safely in any work area and on the roads Operate a backhoe loader using a loader bucket to strip, excavate, load a truck/dump truck from stockpile or river-bed and perform dozing, spreading as well as backfill operations Operate a backhoe loader using backhoe for drain excavation, trench excavation, backfilling, load a truck/dump truck, foundation and footing excavation. Locate and identify major components/parts of the equipment; understand and find the possible faults when they occur; perform the daily and weekly routine inspection and maintenance requirements and also record keeping Take all safety measures at all time of operation and maintenance and understand the gauges and warning lights.
