Objectives
After the completion of this course
the trainees will independently
be able to |
- Understand the diesel engine technology as
well as air and water cooled diesel engines.
- Perform measurement by different measuring
instruments and know the acceptable tolerances and carry out proper
rectification.
- Identify the components/ parts found common
in a conventional diesel engine and quantify spare parts necessary
for repair.
- Disassemble repair and reassemble a diesel
engine (overhauling) and perform test runs
- Perform engine fault diagnosis describe possible
causes and take correct action to rectify the faults.
- Diagnose and demonstrate faulty injectors,
replace and correctly time on in - line and rotary injection pump.
- Disassemble repair and reassemble the the turbocharger,
blower and after coolers.
- Follow personal and work area safety requirements.
