2 Operator 2.3 Hydraulic Excavator Objectives After the completion of this course the trainees will independently be able to Understand and explain the principle and techniques of excavation. Operate a hydraulic excavator for trench, canal, drain, foundation and footing excavation Operate a hydraulic excavator to load a dump truck from trench, bank, riverbed, or stockpile and services installation Locate and identify major components/parts of the equipment, understand and explain the possible faults whenever they occur, perform the daily and weekly routine inspection and maintenance requirements and also record keeping Take all safety measures at all time of operation and maintenance and explain the gauges and warning lights to be monitored.
