Objectives
| After the completion of this course the
trainees will independently be able to |
- Understand the principles and techniques of operating a Mobile
Crane
- Locate and identify major components/parts of the equipments,
understand the possible faults when and if they occur, perform
the daily and weekly routine inspection and maintenance requirements
and record keeping
- Take all safety measures at all time of operation and maintenance
and understand the gauges and warning lights.
- Drive a crane safely in any work area and on the roads
- Identify the various types of rope, sling, chains, shackles,
eyebolts and cable clips used for loading lifting, inspect for
defects and calculating the safe working load of ropes, slings
and chains
- Understand the hand signals, whistle signals used for directing
crane operator while lifting a load ( also for unsighted load)
