2 Operator 2.1 Motor Grader Objectives After the completion of this course the trainees will independently be able to Understand the principle and techniques for operating a Motor Grader Drive/ steer the Motor grader safely in any work area and on the road Operate the grader for scarifying and ripping operations Operate a grader to construct and maintain a road, its drain, shoulder and batter Operate a grader for mixing and separating road base material Operate a grader to spread and level material to achieve a smooth finish Locate and identify major components/parts equipment, understand the possible faults whenever they occur, perform the daily and weekly routine inspection and maintenance requirements and also record keeping Take all safety measures at all time of operation and maintenance and explain the gauges and warning lights to be monitored.
