1 Mechanical 1.4 Power-Shift Transmission Objectives Afrer completion of this course the participants will independently be able to Understand the function and operation of single disc, multi disc and wet and dry clutches Understand the fluid coupling operations and servicing requirements Understand the operation and power flow of different types of gear boxes Understand the operation and differences between a torque converter and divider, dismantle and reassemble a torque converter Identify the components and understand the operation including oil flow and planetary gears in a multi speed power-shift transmission Dismantle and reassemble a multi speed power shift transmission Diagnose power shift transmission faults using proper equipment and carryout proper rectifications Repair, maintain, and service transmission pumps and regulating valves Diagnose faults in drive line and carry out proper rectification Understand the operation of re-circulating ball type steering box and integral power steering box. Dismantle, reassemble and test the steering boxes in correct working procedure The course covers the following topics : Hydraulic Principles and Applications Hydraulic oils and Hydraulic reservoir Coolers and Filters Hydraulic fittings and hoses Hydraulic pumps and motors Hydraulic accumulators and actuators Hydraulic valves ( Control valves, Relief valves etc.)
