Objectives
| Afrer completion of this course the participants
will independently be able to |
- Understand the function and operation of single
disc, multi disc and wet and dry clutches
- Understand the fluid coupling operations and
servicing requirements
- Understand the operation and power flow of
different types of gear boxes
- Understand the operation and differences between
a torque converter and divider, dismantle and reassemble a torque
converter
- Identify the components and understand the
operation including oil flow and planetary gears in a multi speed
power-shift transmission
- Dismantle and reassemble a multi speed power
shift transmission
- Diagnose power shift transmission faults using
proper equipment and carryout proper rectifications
- Repair, maintain, and service transmission
pumps and regulating valves
- Diagnose faults in drive line and carry out
proper rectification
- Understand the operation of re-circulating
ball type steering box and integral power steering box. Dismantle,
reassemble and test the steering boxes in correct working procedure
